NOT even Mother Nature could rain on the Autumn Festival parade, in the morning residents chucked on their raincoats and headed to breakfast with the band where veteran barbecuers served up bacon, eggs and pancakes to the sounds of a well-oiled band.

With full bellies, runners headed to the University of New England for the Campus to City Canter.
Hundreds of runners and walkers took part, with Steven Chung taking out first place in the men’s category and Guyra resident Kelsie Youman coming in first for the women.
Later in the day the massed pipe bands took the stage in the mall.
Three bands - Moree Pipes and Drums, Tamworth and Armidale Pipe Band joined forces for a few tunes for the crowds.
As the marshalls prepared all of the floats for the Autumn Festival Grand Parade the streets were lined with onlookers who cheered as bands, elaborate floats and even a giant foam star made their way down the main streets of the CBD.
The Fairy Shop won the award for Best Overall Float with her Chinese garden theme.
Later Big T entertained crowds at the Servies along with highland dancers – with some heading to bed early for the Criterium on Sunday.
On Monday punters headed to the racecourse for the Armidale Cup.
