The massed pipe bands took the stage in the mall. Three bands - Moree pipes and drums, Tamworth and Armidale Pipe Band joined forces for a few tunes in the rain. Not long now until the grand parade – let’s hope the weather holds.
Check out the pipe band gallery here.
HUNDREDS of runners and walkers rose early on Saturday to take part in the annual Campus to City Canter.
Despite the rain participants were all smiles at the event, with runner Steven Chung taking out first place for the men and Kelsie Youman coming in first for the women.

Not even the rain could stop hungry residents heading to breakfast with the band this morning, veteran barbecuers served up bacon, eggs and pancakes to the sounds of a well-oiled band.
Somehow the rain held off long enough for opening night at the Autumn Festival. Street performers, dancers and carnival rides entertained crowds until the laser lights stole the show in the finale.
