As a result, a beginners course is now in progress with 13 participants.
Club day on Sunday saw new members Natalie and Luke get the opportunity to try out their new equipment.
They are very excited with this and look forward to competing in club events each week.
Yan and Eva continue to improve and with eight week old Phineas now regularly attending it will be exciting when he takes up the sport as well. Other members shot varying rounds with Teena continuing to improve and Ella-rose also becoming more consistent.
Next Sunday will see members compete a 90 arrow round and members are reminded that the Christmas barbeque will be held following twilight shooting next Wednesday, December 7.
This will also be a farewell for the Matikainen family who are leaving Armidale.
The Matikainen’s have been heavily involved in archery for the past five years with Hannu being very busy with the construction of the amenities block which is now completed.
Armidale Archers wish them all the best with their move to the big smoke which will follow a trip to Finland to spend Christmas with Hannu’s family.
