Three local women in Hidden Treasures Honour Roll

This year local women Julie Gittoes from Guyra, Susan Maisey of Armidale and Margaret Walker from Ben Lomond have made the list among 90 others across the state.

Ms Walker said she was honoured to receive the award.

“It’s a good thing to help out because it gets you out there meeting people and I enjoy it,” she said.

Northern Tablelands MP Adam Marshall dubbed the women as “true treasures in our community.”

“They have been nominated by others who have seen first-hand how their important work has enabled those needing assistance or local groups requiring help to flourish,” he said.
