Armidale District Cricket Association’s season starts this Saturday with several teams playing in the limited overs matches.
The first grade competition has expanded from four teams to five this year with the Barbarians moving up.
First grade will be a mixture of one day and two day matches. This weekend, Ex-Services’ play Easts at Lambert Park while Barbarians take on City at the sportsground. Hillgrove have the bye. In second grade, Barbarians and City go head-to-head at Rologas while Hillgrove and Easts battle it out at Tas Oval. Ex-Services host Guyra at Harris Park and TAS have the bye.
The third grade matches are between Easts and TAS at Newling, Ex-Services take on Hillgrove at Jack Valance and Guyra host Barbarians.

Originally from the Blue Mountains, I spent my teenage years in the Riverina at boarding school before moving to Bathurst in 2012 to complete Bachelor of Sport Studies/ Bachelor of Communications (journalism) at Charles Sturt University. I started my career at The Blayney Chronicle in May 2015 and worked casually, one day a week at the Central Western Daily later on that year.
