The Uralla Shire Council has suspended all action on the visitor information centre pending a strategic workshop on October 11.
Council intends to call on the community to submit their vision for the information centre’s future.
And councillors will set a date for residents and stakeholders to provide feedback on the proposals in a community forum.
A motion passed during Tuesdays council meeting states that a report and recommendation informed by the community’s input will be provided at the December council meeting.
The report will also include a breakdown of costs.
The fate of visitor centre was a key election issue for many candidates and most promised decisive action once council resumed.
