Trio sonatas for recorder, viola and cello feature in the next Music on a Market Sunday Concert, which starts at 12.30pm on Sunday, September 25.
The Lotti Trio, Alana Blackburn, Laura Curotta and Robert Jackson come together with sonatas by Lotti, Telemann, and C P E Bach.
Alana is a graduate with honours from the Sydney Conservatorium and Conservatorium van Amsterdam in the Netherlands. While there, she was a member of several musical ensembles, performing across Europe and Australasia, and recorded three CDs. Her range spans centuries, from baroque to contemporary.
Robert began his study in Orange, landing on his feet as principal cello of Sydney Youth Orchestra while a student at the Sydney Con.
He toured across Australasia as a member of the Bloodwood Quartet. A move to Germany saw him as principal cellist with two orchestras and a chamber orchestra. While there, he achieved a Masters of Cello Performance in Hannover.
Laura, a violinist, studied at the Sydney Conservatorium and the Australian National Academy of Music with Masters of Music Performance from the Hochschule for Music, Hannover Germany. She was also a member of the Bloodwood Quartet.
Admission to the concert is free (though donations are encouraged). Tea and sausages will be available at the Uniting Church before the concert.
