The undefeated minor premiers were unstoppable in their performance and managed to leave the students scoreless throughout the match.
Tony Dittman was first to cross the line before Luke Spooner and Rob Ivey added five-pointers taking the scoreline out to 19-nil at half-time.
The Ghosts’ first points in the second half came through a penalty kick before Pat Keen stormed through the line to score under the posts.
A penalty goal followed by a try to Dean Turner sealed the 34 points to nil victory.
Coach Jim Lenehan said it was a pleasing result for his side after a poor performance the week before against Gwydir which ended in a draw.
“[On Saturday] they turned up,” he said.
“Last week we had a bad run, today they turned up and decided to play footy.
“They knew it was do or die this weekend, that we had to win to get us on the front foot for the grand final.”
Lenehan said the win typified their season where they dug in each week and played to the best of their abilities.
“Players turn up each week and do it for each other,” he said.
“We don’t train that well but other than that it is just wanting to do it for each other and wanting to do it for themselves.”
The Ghosts have a weekend off and will play the winner of this weekend’s match between Armidale Blues and Albies in the grand final.
