TWO of the region’s artists will be opening their new exhibitions at the Armidale Art Gallery next Friday.

Anna Ross’s exhibition, Fragments, is a collection of 45 collage works, and follows a show she had at the community art gallery that comprised watercolours.
“For this work, I was interested in exploring the risk in creation; the uncontrollable unknown,” Ms Ross said.
“By relinquishing my desire to control the work and trying to let the process, or technique, dictate the outcome, I have been able to explore collage further and appreciate some interesting results.”
The second artist, Walcha-based Glenn Dick, will open his exhibition, The Complexities of a Long-Distance Voyager, a collection of his various works over the years, including The Drowning of John McCabe and Ben Warhunt, Way back time mate – ey! and Family Portrait.
The Complexities of a Long-Distance Voyager will run until Thursday, August 25. The art gallery is in the Beardy St mall.
