BARNABY Joyce has retained his Agriculture and Water portfolios in a new-look ministry announced by Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.
The nation’s leader announced his new cabinet this week and the member for New England’s portfolios remain unchanged.
Mr Joyce was sworn in to his roles again on Tuesday.
The Deputy Prime Minister, however, has gained an assistant minister in Nationals MP Luke Hartsuyker.
In a speech with a distinct theme of “delivery”, Prime Minister Turnbull was confident he and his team would enter a 2019 election having delivered on its promises.
While sticking with much of his own ministry, there were a few positions reshuffled and a few extra titles on the cards for re-elected federal members.
Nationals senator Matt Canavan has been promoted to cabinet as Minister for Resources and Northern Australia.
Assistant Treasurer Kelly O’Dwyer will now hold the title for Revenue and Financial Services, which Mr Turnbull says better describes her responsibilities.
Nationals MP Michael McCormack will oversee responsibility for Small Business.
