ARMIDALE Fire Station Commander Chris Gates says the cause of the blaze is yet to be determined.
"At this stage, the cause of the fire is under investigation and we are going to hand it over to the police for further investigation," Mr Gates said.
"We're not ruling anything in or out."
He said the crew got the call for help just after 9.30am and arrived on the scene "five minutes later".
"We immediately started putting water on the fire but due the to ferocity of the flames, we had to withdraw the crews and begin attacking it from the outside."
