Charity coordinator Naarah Scholes said college members spent a week wearing medical scrubs to promote their fundraising efforts and awareness for the medical service.
“This is an entire week dedicated to raising money and we have been hosting events every night to drive it up,” Ms Scholes said. “We want to raise as much money (as we can) for the service. We have already hit $20,000 but we love to raise a bit more.”
The college hosted raffles and even auctioned off a few brave college member’s eyebrows throughout the week.
Ms Scholes said the community had been great in supporting the charity fundraising week.
“It’s an amazing service and it’s close to everyone’s heart,” Ms Scholes said.
“There are college members who wouldn’t be here without the Royal Flying Doctors Service. So donations would be greatly appreciated and we still have our calendars available (for sale).”
