A PARKLET for al fresco dining in Dangar Street, covering for Cinders Lane and a pavement-based fountain are all touted for the Beardy Street Mall in Armidale Regional Council’s master plan.
An electronic noticeboard displaying community events and apartment living could also be introduced in the East Mall in a bid to revitalise the district.
The plan aims to reduce red tape to encourage retail and city centre living, upgrade infrastructure and de-clutter the Mall.
The shade sails outside the Tattersalls Hotel will probably be taken down.
Armidale Regional Council administrator Ian Tiley hoped the plan would drive growth.
