NEW ENGLAND Girls’ School students were skipping for joy and crafting up a storm as part of the school’s annual wellbeing day.
Director of student wellbeing Angela Sole said the focus on the day was to enrich the students’ personal health.
“This is our third wellbeing day and the aim is to partake in activities which relate to our theme which is prosper,” Ms Sole said.
“Prosper is acronym for positive, relationships, outcomes, strength, purpose, engagement and resilient so each activity is based around that.”
Students from kindergarten to year 12 participated in a range of activities from a student-teacher netball game, skipping, crafts and there were guest speakers.
“We want the girls to have a feeling of happiness and connection as well as taking on board what this program is all about,” Ms Sole said.
“It’s all about the students flourishing and reaching their potential in all their different strengths as well as building resilience.
“We always have fantastic feedback from the students and we have a really strong focus on getting our student’s to enjoy being here at school which will optimise their education.”
