ZOMBIES and burn victims are just some of the creations that have won an Armidale psychology student a paid internship with a national airline.
Earle Page student Kendelle Watts submitted at 30 seconds YouTube video showcasing her skill as a special effects make-up artist to land the internship with Virgin Australia.
Ms Watts said her unusual hobby started off as procrastination from her studies but quickly turned into something she would like to pursue as a career.
"I've turned loads of friends into Zombies," she said.
"At first I started doing recreations of other artist work and as I gained more confidence and skills have come up with my own ideas."
"I was really overwhelmed at getting chosen as the people's choice."
Ms Watts plans to finish her degree next semester and will take her internship in the summer holidays.
"I am going to be able to try out a few things and see what I like," she said.
"I love traveling and I've always wanted to be an air hostess."
