The Seasons of New England event is set to be held in March and was dreamed up as a replacement for the Uralla Food and Wine Festival.
Organiser Tara Toomey said they’d had a big response from people wanting to be involved and preparations were coming together well.
“We’re just about at capacity with stalls,” she said.
“All tickets will be on the web very soon.”
The March 8 event will include a producers’ market and fair and a twilight three-course dinner.
Butcher Dale Goodwin crafts unique sausages using local meat, fresh produce and beer from the New England Brewing Company and will be serving them up for lunch on the day.
Mr Goodwin said his appreciation for the Uralla brewery’s ales led him to think of the combination, which he described as “every man’s dream”.
Dale’s Downtown Meats now boasts four flavours to go with the four beers on offer from the brewery up the road.
Mr Goodwin said the demand was there for the product, with him making thirty kilograms of each flavour during the week of Christmas.
Ms Toomey said Mr Goodwin’s sausages were just one example of the local food products set to be showcased at the event.
“There are a lot of people who come up with that slightly different spin on things,” she said.
The market will showcase New England stallholders with the day also featuring activities including pony rides, face painting, wine and beer tasting, vintage games and entertainment from local musicians.
The dinner will be cooked by NERAM Harvest chef Rowan Tihema and be held from 5.30pm. Tickets for the dinner are available at the New England Brewing Company, NERAM Harvest, through Ms Toomey at Aurelia’s Farm bed and breakfast and on the event website at www.seasonsofnewengland.com.au.
