Armidale / Inverell

McLean Care Home and Community Services have provided a range of  care services to assist with people living independently at home around Inverell and surrounds for over the last 20 years.  We are an important part of the home life for clients (and their families). They deserve our best and at McLean Care Community, we're committed to making sure we give them nothing less.

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated and passionate Registered Nurse with a genuine sense of caring to join our Home and Community team on a Part Time or Full Time basis.  Location is flexible between Inverell or Armidale. We value our staff and this role is supported by the Clinical Care Coordinator and other clinical nursing staff. 

This role is responsible for:

  • Conducting client care assessments and care planning
  • Supervision, guidance and support to healthcare workers and enrolled nurses
  • Intake processing, clinical care planning and reporting
  • Coordinate the provision of quality consumer centred care according to the client's needs, service/care plans and available funding in accordance with budget
  • Clinical in-home services include care plan assessments, medication, incontinence, wound, chronic disease, complex wound management, palliative care and diabetes.
  • General administration with respect to tasks performed

Preferred Skills:

  • Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Current unencumbered Drivers license
  • Current Influenza vaccination
  • First Aid and CPR essential
  • Experienced in assessing and planning care needs within the community setting
  • High level of computer literacy, with a sound understanding of Microsoft Office
  • An outgoing personality with high energy levels, good communication skills and personable telephone manner
  • Possess a 'can-do' positive attitude and work well in a team environment
  • Ability to multitask with a strong attention to detail while keeping calm and focused
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of home care services and guidelines
  • Excellent networking, consultation skills
  • Excellent customer service skills with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
