Armidale Little Athletics Club received $1,000 donation from Optus, that will enable the Club to upgrade or purchase new quality sports gear.
More than 80 children from across Armidale will benefit from the generous donation.
Local Yes Optus Franchisee, John Welch explained Optus was delighted to be partnering with Armidale Little Athletics Club to help encourage regional children in communities like Armidale to reach their potential.
“We are passionate about supporting local, homegrown organisations across the North West. Our Optus team live and play within the community, so we know Armidale locals love sport and getting involved with their local club.
“Our partnership with Armidale Little Athletics Club is just one of the ways we’re dedicated to being the support network for locals across the North West,” he said.
Armidale Little Athletics Club President, Graham Parson shared that the donation from Optus North West would have a positive impact on the local club and its members.
“Having access to quality, reliable training equipment for our children is vital to helping them perform at their best. The partnership with Optus North West will aid us in providing quality equipment that helps our members get active in a fun and safe environment,” he said.
Optus is also a sponsor of the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
