That’s the task of Meals on Wheels in Armidale, that ran into some trouble after an issue with their paint work.
President Rick Mills said the volunteer-run organisation has an inspection every two years.

“The NSW Food Authority determined we’d used the wrong sort of paint,” he said.
Luckily, the Rotary Club of Armidale Central had some cash to spare, donating $3600 to Meals on Wheels to fix the paint job.
Meals on Wheels has already spent upwards of $250,000 renovating the showground building to improve the kitchen and soon, install a much larger cool room for perishables.
Mr Mills said without community groups like Rotary it would be difficult for them to keep going.
“We’ve been at the showground for four years, prior to that we were at the hospital but they decided it wasn’t part of their core business anymore,” he said.
“These organisations are a wonderful help to us, without that funding we wouldn’t be able to do a lot of the things we have done here and we’re very grateful for all of the offers we’ve had over the last four years.”
The Rotary Club raised the funds through its annual book sale, which will be held from May 12 to 19 this year.
