High school swimmers race against each other for regional gold

HIGH SCHOOL swimmers from around the region made a splash at Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre today, competing at the 2018 Armidale Diocesan Secondary Swimming Selection Trials.

The regional competition drew students from St Philomena’s School Moree, McCarthy Catholic College (Tamworth), O’Connor Catholic College (Armidale), St Mary’s College (Gunnedah) and Holy Trinity School (Inverell). 

Junior boys 100 metre breaststroke race.

The chosen swimmers vied for first place in a series of swimming races, including freestyle, breaststroke and butterfly.

Each top dog will later proceed to the next stage of competition at Homebush, Sydney, to race for state.
