The six-year-old gelding has four wins and one second from his last five starts.
“Melted Moments was in terrific form when he went out in the paddock so if he comes back in that form he will take some beating as well,” Grills said.
“There could be six down there if they all get a run, there will be at least five running.”
He tipped Image of Love in the Owen and Fiveash- Invest Blue Class 4 Handicapp (1400m) and Abb Roy in the Armidale Roof Tilers and Town and Country Real Estate Maiden Plate as chances of featuring in the money.

“Image of Love is back in class so she should go pretty good there even though it is a pretty good race,” Grills said.
“Abb Roy in the maiden, he has been travelling pretty well with three placings in his last four starts.”
In the main race there have been 19 nominations including last year’s winner Carry On Jake. Rage Against has to be a chance for Armidale trainer Stirling Osland as well after winning three in succession before a last start eighth to Jack Strikes Back at Port Macquarie.
There will be three Armidale trained runners in the field of 12 too with Justin Blanch’s Bobs A Dazzler jumping from barrier eight with Geoff Snowden on board.
