Senior vice-president Chris Sole said crowds can expect some new additions as well as old favourites.
“We’ve still got the big pavillion, arguably the best wool competition in the North West, people even reckon it’s better than Sydney,” Mr Sole said.
“The quality of the producers and how well managed it is, it goes really well.”
This year will see a big cattle section on Saturday with a Simmental feature show and all breeds heifer show.
Brave locals will take on the bullride on Friday.
For the faint of heart a mechanical bull ride will be on offer, with free rides for children under 12-years-old from 6pm to 7pm on Friday and Saturday.
“We have judges from out of the area coming in, your locals can’t judge your local stuff,” Mr Sole said.
“There’s the smash up derby on Saturday night along with fireworks and we’ve got the sashing of the showgirls.
“The official opening will be done by Robert Ryan OAM.”
Shearing, woodchopping, post ripping, tent pegging and the dog trials are on Saturday.
Music will keep the crowds moving on both nights by Jacko’s Jukebox.
And, this year a special feature of the show is D.J Wood Carving –where chainsaws make sawdust fly to reveal artistic flair on wood.
“I think Dorothy Lockyer tracked him down, he can carve crocodiles – he does it all with a chainsaw,” Mr Sole said.
In the pavillion, Guyra’s best cooks will show off their jams, jellies, chutneys, scones, slices and more.
Mr Sole said the committee has been organising the anniversary show since September last year.
“We’re only a little country town but we get around 2000 to 3000 people a day and a fair few from out of town,” he said.
“There’s nothing wrong with the quality of the beef and wool in this area and that attracts people – we have some recognised horse people and show jumpers as well that could make it to Sydney.
“In the pavillion there’s some good cooks here, I even won Grand Champion in the cooking section with a chocolate guinness cake five years ago.
“First time in as an adult, walked away with Grand Champion and haven’t been back since, undefeated.”
The cost to enter is $10 for adults each day and $2.50 for children.
Pensioners cost is $3 and family tickets are available for $20.
The 110th Guyra Show is on this Friday and Saturday at the Guyra Showground off Marne Street.
