The towns around the region are getting ready for Christmas with many celebrations and Santa making regular appearances checking whether the local children are naughty or nice.
Tis the season of giving so gifts are being to very worthy organisations.
Local schools are wrapping up for the year. The class of 2017 received some results with some very impressive results around the region.
Other children are spending their last few days of term before breaking up for the highly anticipated summer break.
Speaking of summer, the region felt the heat this week with temperatures reaching to the very high 30s over Thursday and Friday and talks of it reaching the 40s in weeks to come.
Local pools were frequented while everyone did their best to beat the heat including this little guy.
