Two Armidale hockey youngsters have returned home after earning medals at the Pacific School Games in Adelaide. Mia Emanuel and Nathan Czinner represented NSW All Schools at the event and made it all the way to the grand final.

Both contested their deciders against Queensland with the girls final going down to the wire.
After a penalty shootout the gold medal was awarded to Queensland with Emanuel’s NSW finishing with the silver. Czinner’s side also missed out on gold with Queenland claiming a 2-nil victory.
His performances at the event were recognised with the 15-year-old named in the under 16 Australian All Schools team which will tour South Africa next year.
His selection to don the green and gold was the second in a week for an Armidale player with Rio Olympian Georgie Morgan named in the 2018 Hockeyroos squad. The Hockeyroos will contest the Commonwealth Games and the Hockey World Cup next year.
