Armidale students Issac Clark, Jonathon Bruhl, Dustin Cooper and Patrick Ferris are set to light up millions of television screens.
Isaac Clark performed in the ballet, contemporary and regional ensembles.
“We collectively spent 24 hours rehearsing and perfecting every movement, every arm, every split, as well as spacing and partner work and we produced a result that was phenomenal for a viewing audience,” Isaac said.
“It makes you feel really specially as an individual, but you also feel a part of something big, nothing can ever take that experience away from you. It’s the most unique experience you’ll come across as a performer.”
The footage was shot with 15 cameras at vantage points throughout Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena.
Schools Spectacular creative director Sonja Sjolander said the show is a must-see.
“There is a reason that audiences, whether in the arena or watching on television, have so much anticipation for Schools Spectacular each year,” Ms Sjolander said.
“The vitality of these outstanding young performers is pure joy.
“Schools Spectacular has something for everybody.”
More than 5700 students performed in the show.
Armidale High School student Isaac Clark said it was a fantastic opportunity for a rural dancer.
“National exposure may help in my professional career,” he said.
“I guess you never know who’s watching and who will notice that triple pirouette, or that leap or high leg or turnout.
“Ultimately, you have to be in the right place at the right time.”
Going forward Isaac will complete dance training at the Sydney Dance Company’s pre-professional year, in the hopes he will get a spot in the company.
The telecast will be an opportunity for family and friends who couldn’t make it to Sydney to see the show live watch their children perform.
“While it was electric in the arena, on television the show offers a completely different dimension of enjoyment,” Ms Sjolander said.
