The event teaches kids about the value of regeneration to the environment.
Event organiser Sara Schmude said it was important to start children off with good environmental behaviours.
“Sustainability has become such a catch phrase in society,” Ms Schmude said.
“Whereas we actually have to do better, doing better is regeneration.
“Regenerating the landscape can happen in such a short frame of time if we think regeneration.”
Planting trees at the base of Mount Duval, The Armidale School students donated $267 to the cause.
They held a fundraiser at their school to buy trees for planting.
