The side’s bowlers paved the way once again with Karl Triebe adding to his six wickets from the first game with another three against Guyra.
Dylan Yeomans chimed in with three while Andy Sawyer and Andrew Skinner picked up the rest for their opponents to be all out for 79.
An early scare with the bat, losing Skinner on the first ball before Simon Stubbs left on five, brought Michael Allen to the crease.
Allen combined with captain Kyle Taylor to reach Guyra’s total comfortably.
Taylor praised the efforts of the bowlers but said it was Allen’s innings which was the most impressive display of the day.
“Michael Allen batted really well, 37 not out and myself, I got 33 but I don't want to take any raps, I just want to praise all the boys,” he said.
“It was a pretty bad start, we were 1-0, we lost a wicket on the first ball and Michael Allen went out there and batted really well out there.”
After two rounds last season, City were in the same position before losing every remaining game with several players departing the team.
Taylor said his side are ready to continue their winning ways with every player eager to turn out each week.
“All the blokes who have played first grade want to be there. We had a few blokes out on Saturday and they all said they were disappointed to not be there,” he said.
“I think that's what's changed from last year, everyone wants to turn up and it doesn't matter if we win, lose or draw.”
