As an internationally acclaimed recording artist, Isla’s beautiful voice encompasses everything from country folk songs to easy listening - an unforgettable evening of old favourites and sparkling new compositions.
Isla grew up in a musical family and learnt to play the guitar. She was influenced by folk music and American country music.
Her albums include The Best of Isla Grant (2004), When the Day Is Done (2005), Faith, Love and Hope (2006), Down Memory Lane (2007), A Dream Come True (2008) and Special to Me (2008) and Lovesick and Blue (2013).
Al Grant, Isla’s talented husband, will bring his irrepressible humour to the show featuring his tribute to Jim Reeves, accompanied by the multi-instrumental and singer Glen Flynn.
Isla’s concert performance promises to be an absolutely unmissable event at Town Hall on October 4 at 7.30pm.
And one for the kids, mums and dads and all the family, Room On The Broom is presented by Jump Up Trampoline Zone and Capitol Theatre.
This truly theatrical feast will leave both adults and children fully entertained.
Adapted from the award-winning picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, published by Macmillan Children’s books, Room On The Broom is brought to you by the award-winning team behind The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo’s Child.
This live performance brings together physical theatre, music and beautiful puppetry to deliver this much-loved story about friendship, sharing and working together. Recommended for children aged 3+ and their grown ups.
Room on the Broom will take the stage on Saturday, October 14 at 10.30am, 12.30pm and 3pm.
