NSW Country Eagles vs Canberra Vikings at Bellevue Oval, University of New England. Kick-off at 1pm.
New England Camel Co offers kids and adults a chance to feed and pet the llamas and camels at the New England Camel Farm between 11am and 2pm. $15 for adults, $10 for children. For more information call 0439 922 350.
Armidale ParkRun is a free 5 kilometre run (or walk) held every Saturday at SportUNE from 8am.

Armidale Art Gallery Exhibitions – three exhibitions are opening this Saturday including Domicile – an exhibition of paintings by Deborah Page. Official opening is at 6pm. Illustrations and Inspirations by David Allan and Lee Milroy also opens at 6pm and Sister Act by Alanna Mason and Mary Attard opens as well. All exhibitions continue until October 11.

On Your Bike Exhibition at the Armidale Men’s Shed, 215 Mann Street between 11am and 5pm. It’s all in the name of supporting men’s health.

Market Sunday Concert in the Uniting Church at 12:30pm. The free concert features Alana Blackburn and Robyn Bradley playing three 20th century works for recorder and piano. Donations are appreciated.

For the fishing fanatics
Uncle Billy's Retreat, Ben Lomond is a seriously secluded place nestled in the hills between Guyra and Ben Lomond. It’s the perfect spot to escape for a weekend and catch some trout.
Deanos Spring Water Smoked Trout, Black Mountain is another great spot to check out. The local producer has eight grow-out ponds and produces around a tonne of yabbies and up to 15,000 trout each year.
Weekday pub activities
The Welder’s Dog has an awesome trivia night which runs in six week blocks. It’s currently on a break but should start up again next month. They also have a pizza raffle each Tuesday, with 10 free pizzas up for grabs from Armidale Pizza. One drink buys you one ticket.
The Railway Hotel have their trivia night on Wednesday’s. Get there at 6:30pm to grab a delicious parmy beforehand. Great prizes and lollies (for the baffler) up for grabs.
Whitebull Hotel hold an “interactive” trivia night on Tuesdays from 7:30pm in the main bar.
The St Kilda Hotel has weekly meat raffles drawn at 7:30pm Thursday and Friday nights and live music from travelling bands most Fridays.

The Wollomombi Falls is a plunge waterfall found within the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park, off Waterfall Way.
The Oxley Wild Rivers National Park is great for camping, fishing and bush walking. It is named in memory of Australian explorer John Oxley who passed through the area in 1818.
Ebor Falls is a cascade waterfall on the Guy Fawkes River, near Ebor and about 37 kilometres north-east of Wollomombi on Waterfall Way. Great for an Instagram pic.
Cathedral Rock is a national park, near Ebor off the Waterfall Way. It is between the Guy Fawkes River and Macleay Range.
