The first official competition saw 105 entrants compete at the school’s equestrian centre on July 30.
NEGS dressage coach Rachelle Hirst said the “fantastic event” set the precedence to host more of it’s kind in the future.
“We had some great volunteers and very good judges, we were very lucky with the calibre of judges we got,” she said.
“It just ran really smoothly, it was a great day. We will do another one, probably in summer and it will be a bigger competition next time.”
Student Holly Coulthard who won Aitken Family Perpetual Trophy award for the highest scoring junior and was crowned elementary champion. Olivia Ruzsicska made her medium level debut with a respectable fourth in both tests. Kerry Crees won both medium and novice champion while Jade Fangmeier came away with the preliminary prize.
