Alex Weatherall was one of many to walk through the Town Hall on Wednesday, making the most of what was on offer.
“Free clothing, free food and blankets,” he said.
“They’ve got beanies and scarves to keep everyone warm.”
Organiser Rebecca Benson said the day was a chance for local people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness to learn about what support services are available.
“This is the second year that we’ve held it here,” Ms Benson said.
This year featured a blanket drive to provide warm clothes and blankets to those who need it. Hairdresser Meg Forrest also set up a cutting station for people.
