Armidale entered one team in the competition last year, who finished as runners up to Quirindi, and a spike in numbers means the local association can now enter a team in three divisions.
“We played last year, we only had one team last year though, and we were runners up in division one,” Armidale coaching coordinator Rochelle Joyce said.
“We have been represented before but we haven't had this amount of numbers which is really good for us.”
Joyce said there are a few familiar faces who took part in last year’s tournament but there a couple of newcomers ready to hit the court.
“We have some old hands though, there's a couple of players who have played and had previous representative experience. It will be interesting to see how we go,” she said. The competition will be conducted over four rounds with the winner progressing to state league.
