Michael Fussell played for the club as a junior and served in the army in Afghanistan.
Fussell lost his life during active duty as a result of a bomb blast in 2008.
Since his death, charity Soldier On was formed to support those who had been affected during their service.
In their round hosting Robb College, Armidale Blues put together a fundraiser.
The first grade side wore commemorative jerseys which were auctioned off after the game.
The club raised $5500 which will go directly to the Soldier On charity.
