The Music on a Market Sunday concert on 25 June at 12:30pm in the Uniting Church will be presented by the Armidale Choral Society with a program entitled 'Memories'. The music ranges from a lovely choral arrangement written in 2011, to an unaccompanied work from the early 1700s. There is a touch of nostalgia, some humour and a little dramatization included. The Choral Society will be conducted by Deirdre Waters, with accompanist Robyn Driscoll. Sharon Davidge will add her flute to one of the choral works, and her speciality 'tin whistle' to another. While the concert is free, all donations received will be given to the Oxley family to aid in specialist medical treatment for the two young grandchildren of music teacher Phil Oxley, who are seeking treatment in the USA for a disability which is not treatable in Australia. As usual, barbequed sausages, tea coffee, scones and jam will be available before the concert.
