Riding for the Australian Under 23 National Team, Jenner was outsprinted by mountains classification leader Przemyslaw Kasperkiewicz on the final lap of the 129.4km stage from Ardee to Skerries to achieve his best individual result in Europe.

“I'm very happy with the second place today after coming here hungry for a result,” Jenner said.

With a stage win, three podiums and third overall Jenner was pleased with the teams results and the experience brought to the team with the inclusion of Meyer.

"It was a massive effort by all the staff/riders this week and I think if we had a bit better luck things could have been different,” he said. 

“Huge thanks to Cam Meyer who brought his experience and shared his knowledge.

“The team has had some unreal results this year and it feels great to be part of the success.”
