And this month they were honoured across the country in National Volunteers Week.
But what motivates our dedicated volunteers to do what they do best?
Guyra St Vincent de Paul volunteers say it’s all about keeping active, social and the pleasure of serving ones community.
“I feel good about being here and helping an organisation that helps the wider community,” Guyra St Vincent de Paul volunteer Leis Gordon said. Earlier this month National Volunteers Week was held across the nation, to celebrate those people who dedicate their time to the betterment of their communities.
“I’ve made friends volunteering here,” Mrs Gordon said.
