The event brings together young talent from across the town to compete against the best of the best.
Armidale Eisteddfod Society secretary Elizabeth Peach said the performances were an opportunity for young musicians to get feedback from industry professionals.
“It’s mainly school kids, so far we’ve had all the choirs perform,” Ms Peach said.
“It’s so important to tell them how they’re going – their strengths and weaknesses.
“The teachers are here to listen to the student play and the adjudicators comments.”
It costs $3 to view a session and the Eisteddfod runs until Sunday June 18 ending with the Gala Concert at 2pm at the Old Teachers College.
