Wilson claimed the win just more than two seconds ahead of Armidale cyclist Holly Harris.
Earlier this week, Harris, 21, said the new category is an exciting milestone.
“Women's cycling is something very close to my heart, and it’s humbling to be part of a team that's promoting women in such a male-dominated event,” she said.
“Women's cycling has come a long way, even since I started cycling, but I would love to see more women become comfortable enough to compete in races such as this one.
“I know so many women who have the capabilities – they just need the confidence to do it.”
Holly will join Brisbane cyclists Vickie Burr and Rachael Edwards and Gladstone’s Catriona Newell in a ‘Des Femmes’ invitational team to commemorate the category.
