Opera at Lanford – an initiative by Co-Opera Australia and Langford House are gearing up to present Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's 'Eugene Onegin'.
The outdoor opera will be performed in the grounds of historic Langford House, an Edwardian mansion, on the southern outskirts of Walcha along Thunderbolts Way.
Organisers encourage people to bring chairs, a blanket, drinks and picnic or to purchase a ticket which includes a High Tea.
Hats are recommended for the afternoon. Umbrella’s are not permitted in consideration of other patrons view of the performance being interrupted.
Jumpers and blankets are recommended for the evening.
Gates open at 1.00pm and the performance commences at 4.00pm on April 1.
Pre-opera entertainment will commence from 1.30pm.
