The bus safety program taught students how to behave on the bus, how to be safe on the bus and road safety rules at a kindergarten level.
Kindergarten teacher Tina Rubie said the school has quite a number of children that catch the bus of an afternoon.
“It’s very difficult for bus drivers when their behaviour isn’t ideal on the bus, so we’re trying to start now when they’re in kindergarten to set good habits,” she said.
The students were given a talk by NRMA members, Edwards Coaches operations manager James Cross and a local policewoman.
Armidale City Public is one of six local schools to take part in the program.
