ARMIDALE police have arrested five young people over a break-in at a cycling shop at the weekend.

Officers were called to a local bike shop in the early hours of Monday morning.
On arrival it was discovered that four competition style mountain bikes had been stolen.
The four bikes had a collective value of $11,000.
Officers from the New England Local Area Command Target Action Group were investigating the incident and reached a break through on Monday afternoon.
New England crime manager, Detective Inspector Ann Joy said five teenagers, aged between 13 and 16-years-old, were arrested over the incident.
They were all interviewed by police.
Inspector Joy said two of the youths were initially refused bail by police to front court on the related charges.
While the three other youths were granted conditional bail and will appear in Armidale Childrens’ Court at a later date.
All of the allegedly stolen property was recovered by police, she said.
