The final round of Armidale District Cricket’s first grade two-day season is under way with a top-of-the-table clash between Easts and Hillgrove and a match which decides the finals’ makeup between City and Ex-Services.

On Saturday at Lambert Park, second-placed Hillgrove won the toss and elected to bat against Easts.
Hillgrove lost the wicket of opener Tom Browne early on before they went on to post 10-194 from 46.1 overs.
Easts are still at the crease and managed 3-64 from 30 overs before the end of the day’s play.
Ex-Services headed into their match against City at the Sportsground brimming with confidence after knocking off Hillgrove and muscling up against Easts before the match was called off due to rain last weekend.
Ex-Services finished the first day of the match against City well in control.
City elected to bat first and Servies’ bowlers made light work of them, managing to bowl them all out for 90 in 55 overs.
Leon Clifford finished the day with 3-15 off his nine overs.
Brad Mitchell also managed 3-6 and Pete Collins 1-9.
At the end of the day, Servies were still in with 2-78 from 25 overs.
The second day’s play for both games resumes this Saturday with the semifinals commencing the following week on March 11.
