Police said the 27-year-old woman was walking along the bike path about 10am on Wednesday when two males attacked her from behind.
“The victim was pushed from behind and fell to the ground and the two offenders stole her handbag containing a sum of money,” New England Acting Inspector John Walkowiak told Fairfax Media.
The woman was shaken but not physically injured and alerted police.
“A description was provided by the victim and officers patrolled the area, before highway patrol officers located two young males,” Acting Inspector Walkowiak said.
They were arrested on Kentucky St on Wednesday afternoon and allegedly found with cash and other property reported stolen by the woman.
Both were charged with robbery in company and spent the night in custody.
Police allege one of the teenagers was also found in possession of a small quantity of cannabis.
One of the boys was granted conditional bail including to remain at a house under curfew and not leave unless in the company of a carer.
He will return to court next week.
The second teen, charged with drug possession, was refused bail to front a Sydney children’s court on Friday.
