A 27-year-old woman was attacked on a bike track near Donnelly Street when she was approached by two males on Wednesday at 10am.
The males allegedly pushed the woman to the ground and stole her handbag.
The woman notified police at Armidale Police Station and officers from New England Area Command began investigations.
At 2:30pm on Wednesday two 13-year-old males were arrested on Kentucky Street.
The police searched the teenagers and allegedly located cash, property belonging to the woman and cannabis.
New England Area Command Inspector Chris McKinnon put the arrest down to exceptional police work.
“The amount of cannabis found on one of the teenagers is not in the deemed supply area,” he said.
“We like to try to give teenagers this young the benefit of the doubt, but robbery is a very serious charge and can obviously have substantial impacts on their futures.”
The teenagers were taken to Armidale Police Station where one was charged with robbery in company and possess prohibited drug and was remanded in custody to reappear on Friday.
The other was charged with robbery in company and was granted conditional bail to reappear on Thursday February 23.
