Nick Page, Benji Marshall and Cotter Litchfield have been in Griffith playing for Central Northern in the Kookaburra Cup.
Toby Smith and Henry Sindel travelled to Maitland to represent Northern Inland in the Macquarie Generation Hunter Valley under 15s carnival.
The under 16s Armidale team were in Taree to contest the Stan Austin carnival and the under 14s spent the week in Tamworth for another representative competition.
In Griffith, the Central North side took on Southern in their opening match which finished in a draw. Armidale’s Benji Marshall top-scored for the side with 41.
The side’s second game against Newcastle finished with a better result, beating the Novocastrians by 54 runs with another Armidale cricketer in Nick Page top-scoring with 49.
Cotter Litchfield snagged a wicket in that match from his five overs.
Wednesday’s Twenty20 match against Riverina saw Page star again with 26 no.
The home side had no answers for Central North’s fielding and bowling and were all out for just 51 to Central North’s 86 with Litchfield snagging another wicket and two catches in the game.
Central North continued their unbeaten streak against Central Coast in another Twenty20.
Central Coast finished with 87 and in reply, Central North chased down their total in 16.3 overs. Page again top-scored with 31 no.
Central North’s final match on Thursday against Western was the side’s first loss, falling by 63 runs.
Litchfield and Page were successful in making it through to the next level.
In Taree, Armidale’s under 16s suffered a loss to Far North Coast on the first day.
They bounced back on Tuesday to knock over Roseville. They were then defeated by Mid North Coast on Wednesday.
Their final game against Far North Coast on Thursday resulted in a 15-run loss.
The Northern Inland under 15s team got their Macquarie Generation Hunter Valley campaign underway with a loss against Mid North Coast on Monday.
They redeemed themselves against Newcastle Presidents on Tuesday by bowling the side out for 91 in 31 overs. Northern Inland’s openers chased down their opponents’ total in 17.5 overs.
On Wednesday, the team accounted for the Central Coast. They beat Newcastle District Cricket Association by 15 runs in their final match on Thursday.
In Tamworth, Armidale didn’t win their opening round either but hit back with a victory over Lismore.
In their third match against Peel River Renegades, Armidale fell by 10 runs.
