The marquee fixture was announced in Perth on Wednesday by Australian Rugby Union CEO Bill Pulver alongside West Australian Premier Colin Barnett.

Significantly, the match at the 60,000-capacity Perth Stadium will be the only Bledisloe Cup Test played in Australia that year before the two nations take off for their Rugby World Cup commitments in Japan.

"We are very proud to be bringing Western Australia its first-ever Bledisloe Cup Test and are very grateful for the support of the WA government ... which has enabled us to make this historic match a reality," Pulver said in a statement.

"Having toured the construction site at Perth Stadium this year, I have seen first-hand what a world class sporting facility and entertainment precinct it is going to provide for the people of Western Australia. A packed stadium of 60,000 screaming Aussies and New Zealanders for a huge Bledisloe Cup Test is a tantalising prospect."

Perth has hosted 15 Tests since the first in 1998 at Subiaco Oval between the Wallabies and South Africa.

The decision from the ARU to play the only game in Australia against the All Blacks in Perth is a statement of intent as the code attempts to strength its support out west.

Premier Barnett said: "It is a great coup for Western Australia to host this spectacular sporting event at our magnificent new Perth Stadium.

"The match will be broadcast across Australia and internationally, providing a great platform to show off our transforming city and world-class new stadium to the world."

Of the 15 Tests played in Perth the Wallabies will be hoping to continue their winning form, having only lost one match, to the Springboks, at Subiaco Oval in the past decade.

The schedule for the Bledisloe Cup match at Perth Stadium will be announced in the new year.

Next year the Springboks return to Perth in a Rugby Championship fixture on September 9 at nib Stadium.
