Frustrated with a lack of direction the man said he will give $500 to anyone that can provide information on the incident that leads to prosecution.
“I’m just sick of this action and no real response, I’m not trying to be critical of the police but something needs to be done,” he said.
“Why aren’t they out there rattling some cages?”
The incident occurred on Saturday night at 8:20pm, the woman was travelling home with her daughter when her car was hit by a melon-sized rock.
The man said the damage to the car was quoted at $2000.
“It was my wife’s car and she is spewing,” he said.
“I’m sick of our property being damaged by vandals, this is the eighth time we have been targeted.
“I wrote a letter to Adam Marshall about it because I’m sick of nothing being done.”
Police have been unable to identify the offenders, but the wife and daughter reported a dim light in the bushes as the rock-throwers ran through the scrub.
The man believes the incident was committed by an adult due to the size of the rock.
The man hopes the reward will encourage those with information to come forward, or for the perpetrators to turn on one another.
“Someone’s responsible, but I think what happened to us has probably already been put in a file somewhere never to be looked at again,” he said.
“I hope this reward helps us to find some answers, if anything I hope they [vandals] turn on each other and they dob each other in.
“I want the full force of the law to come down on them."
The man asks anyone with information about the incident to report it to Armidale Local Area Command police.
The reward will be given to the person that can provide correct information that leads to a prosecution.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
