It's been a rough few months for fans, friends and employees of the ABC. Budget cuts and job losses. The gutting of TV science show Catalyst. A raft of programs dumped from Radio National, and more room made on it for conservative voices (because there just aren't enough of those on the radio). And, of course, the perennial accusations of bias and "media elitism" from critics on the right of the political spectrum.
