The van will deliver meals to homeless people in the area.
Pastor Liz Williams heads up the program and said the money will go toward utensils, trays and a food storage unit.
“The community has been so fantastic, they’ve been so generous in their donations.
“It’s the only funding we receive, everything we need is coming from the community,” she said.
Armidale has more than 80 homeless youth and 200 homeless people in total.
It is expected the van will deliver twice a week and start in October.
