The two projects, earmarked for completion, will receive $60,000 between them from the council. The toilet block at the Ebor sportsground will be constructed adjacent to the boundary of the grounds and the supply of fencing material will build a new perimeter fence, with construction by local volunteers.
Armidale Regional Council Administrator Dr Ian Tiley said he was pleased to see these projects get off the ground.
“I congratulate the Ebor community for their commitment to improving their local community,” Dr Tiley said.
“It is especially pleasing to see local Ebor residents giving up their time to install the cemetery fencing. “
Council is encouraging not-for-profit community organisations to apply for funds through the Stronger Communities Community Grants program.
